Cadet Programs Offer Adventure, Challenge and Discipline
Community service is an important part of the Cadet Program. CAP cadets went door-to-door after recent hurricanes checking on the elderly and delivering food and water. Youth in the cadet programs are taken aloft on orientation flights and are trained to become qualified radio operators. Through a series of achievements, cadets advance in education and experience and learn to lead. |

They instruct and mentor our young people in character development and moral leadership. With many active duty chaplains deployed overseas, they have volunteered to fill in and are counseling service families across the U.S. |

Giving Students Self-Confidence and Pride Through the Schools Program
In the Schools Program, young people study aviation and space exploration through simulated launches and by communicating with the Space Station. They also learn practical real-world skills - CPR, First Aid and how to be part of an emergency response team should disaster strike. CAP's antidrug program in schools encourages teens to find excitement and a natural high from activities such as encampments, orientation flights, and drill and color guard team competitions. |

Aerospace Education - The Thrill of Space and Flying for All Ages
Through Aerospace Education CAP brings the joy of aviation to young people. Model Rocketry is a popular program with all ages. Teacher benefits from CAP include free aviation and space activity books, innovative lesson plans, and the Fly-a-Teacher program. |

CAP is Ready When Disaster Strikes
Teams of trained CAP pilots and observers serve our communities responding to emergencies - searching for missing aircraft, spotting wildfires, locating stranded boaters and assessing damage and transporting personnel and supplies after disasters. |

From on High, CAP is Helping Protect Our Homeland and Fight the War on Drugs
Using high resolution digital cameras, CAP volunteers take aerial photographs for use in the war on drugs and for security surveillance. CAP has been called on to be an "eye in the sky" for the Olympics, Super Bowl and Space Shuttle launches. |
